SAEPA AND IKHAMBI CARE JOIN FORCES FOR HEALTH CARE REVOLUTION

The South African Express Parcel Association (SAEPA) has concluded an historical deal with iKhambi Care Health Care Solutions to address the needs of its members, through the building of centres throughout the country providing essential primary and occupational health care services.

SAEPA and iKhambi Care Heath Care Solutions will provide the Wellness Express programme to all members. The programme focuses upon providing basic health care (primary health and occupational health) at a very low monthly fee. Membership is also open to family members at an additional monthly fee per person.

Sedibeng ‘Sedi’ Ngubane, Key Client Director

Sedibeng ‘Sedi’ Ngubane studied for a BA majoring in Psychology through UNISA. Her professional career started in 1992 at Liberty Life as part of the marketing team. Joined MTN in 1993 as part of the marketing team during the test phase before the launch of cellular telephony in South Africa, left MTN in 1996 after occupying the position of sports sponsorship manager - targeting the emerging market. Started Ntuthuko stationers (stationery and corporate gifts supply company focusing mainly on corporate companies and government departments) with two other ladies which was eventually sold to Mathomo Investments. Joined Tsogo Sun in 2003 as Organisational Development Manager until March 2008, during Tsogo Sun tenure, group Wellness Management was her greatest passion.


Burlett Grobler, Operations Director
Burlett Grobler holds a diploma in General, Community and Psychiatric Nursing as well as Midwifery. She further completed a Child Nursing Science Diploma at the University of Pretoria and holds a Dispensing License from Medunsa.Burlett worked at the Kempton Park Hospital and spent five years in the Paediatric Ward at the Sunward Park Hospital before joining SAFAM.

Burlett is the driving force behind new business acquisition for iKhambi Care. It is a challenging and demanding role which she thrives on. "I'm on the go 24/7! We have so much to offer and my meetings and presentations to potential clients often start out with one idea and expand to incorporate the many other health, safety and training needs of the client” Burlett will join iKhambi Care Wellness 200 as the CEO. Her core competencies within the medical field and the developing of clinical services as new business models will benefit the new structure to a great extend.


Mike van Wyk, Managing Director
Mike van Wyk commenced his working career in the Emergency Services Field. In 1996 SAFAM cc was established by Mike and his parents. During this time Mike focused on the completion of Post Basic Courses and Diplomas in the Health and Safety Field in order to obtain internationally recognized qualifications in this field through establishments such as UNISA, where after he focused on Business Management, and on the expansion of SAFAM. This expansion led to Mike broadening his field of expertise in areas such as Primary Health Care, Wellness Programmes and Dispensing Legislation. During this same period, Mike became a specialist in the field of SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) in the Casino Industry in South Africa.

During the growing years of SAFAM, Mike was the Team Leader for numerous Disaster Management Projects such as the Mozambique Floods, the Tsunami Disaster and Penguin Operations and received the following awards:

    Boksburger of the year (for business development in Boksburg and his Involvement with disasters)
  • 2001:Community Projects and Small Business Development Renault SA Award
    Daimler Chrysler Award:  Call Beyond Duty

Dr Peter Beskyd, Executive Medical Officer
Dr Peter Beskyd concluded his studies at the University of Pretoria in 2004 obtaining a MBChB. He completed his internship at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital and his Community Services at Tembisa Hospital. He then commenced his career as a Medical Officer in the Surgical Department of Tembisa Hospital where he worked for a period of 18 months. He also rendered locum services in general practices and hospital casualties.
