SAEPA AND IKHAMBI CARE JOIN FORCES FOR HEALTH CARE REVOLUTION

The South African Express Parcel Association (SAEPA) has concluded an historical deal with iKhambi Care Health Care Solutions to address the needs of its members, through the building of centres throughout the country providing essential primary and occupational health care services.

SAEPA and iKhambi Care Heath Care Solutions will provide the Wellness Express programme to all members. The programme focuses upon providing basic health care (primary health and occupational health) at a very low monthly fee. Membership is also open to family members at an additional monthly fee per person.

Products and Services

Both Government and the Industry have stated that there is no entry level solution based on the costing of primary health care if carried by one sector. Therefore, iKhambi Care Health Care Solutions has spread the responsibility of the costing across all sectors, including the medical aid sector.

iKhambi Care Health Care Solutions has tailored its solutions into two distinct yet interlinked products: Wellness 200 and Wellness 4 Sure.

WELLNESS 200

This is not a medical aid. Wellness 200 is a service package rendered by iKhambi Care in order to address the needs of the lower income groups within SA. Wellness 200 renders a pure primary health care service, and includes the dispensing of medication required once the patient has been diagnosed. It uses medical care as first line treatment. The main focus of PHC is health screening, early diagnoses and treatment of illnesses.

WELLNESS 4 SURE – VCT (Voluntary Counselling and Testing for HIV)
VCT encompasses testing people for HIV in order to establish the actual infection rate within South Africa for the purpose of business being able to project production levels and income for the future.

WELLNESS 4 SURE – OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH

Occupational Health entails the screening of the employee based on standards and specifications outlined in the OHS Act of SA. The main purpose of Occupational Health is the identification of underlying health problems, as well as the identification of health problems that develop as a result of the employee conducting his/her normal duties.
